Celebration for children of Makariv institution
On 1 June - International Children's Day - Hope and Homes for Children organised a celebration for children from 'Barvinok' institution in Makariv rayon.
It had been planned to have a picnic for the children but due to rain everyone had to stay inside.
Volunteers Zhenia and Mykhailo who have already became good friends of children from institution, and two students from Kyiv-Mohyla Academy - future social workers and workers of HHC Ukraine to be with the children on this day. Every child received a small present.
Having had little snacks, the children were offered to play dumb crambo: one person is suppose to do a pantomime and the rest of them - have to guess what that is. It must be said that it did not take the children long to guess the words. Everyone, including volunteers, educators of institution, and children, of course, enjoyed the game.
The boys and Mykhailo played tennis.
The time flied by very fast and while partying the children already were asking the guests when they would come to them again.

Big family celebration for 65 family type homes from 13 oblasts of Ukraine
Participants of the conference developed a Resolution based on the results of the workshops and plenary sessions. The Resolution will be sent to relevant central executive bodies. The document contains developed proposals and recommendations regarding improvement of reforming of state institutions, complex approach to deinstitutionalisation implementation and development of new directions of the state social policy.
